Please follow these steps for upgrading your modules from Venexus to VivoWare modules.

  1. Backup your database and filesystem. Please do not skip this step. It will cause a lot less grief if you spend the time to do a proper backup.
  2. Upgrade all Venexus modules to the 6.0 version. This is important aqnd if you do not do this step, your upgrade will most likely fail.
  3. Create a new page for Administrators only and make sure no Venexus modules are on it. For example, make sure you remove Search module if it is in the header/top pane of your page.
  4. Install VivoWebControls module. Just install it, do not configure it at this time.
  5. Place all other Vivo modules in the \Install\Modules folder from the root, alternatively, you can install each module individually and skip step #6, but this will take considerable time.
  6. Go to /Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources in a browser and it will start installing all of the modules. Alternatively, you can go to Host > Module Definitions and install them from there.
  7. Go to the new page you created in step #3 and add VivoWebControls to the page. Check Disable jQuery and click update.
  8. Uninstall all Venexus modules. You may encounter errors when uninstalling, but please ignore as we have changed the table names and such and many uninstall errors are common.

If you run into an issue, please post it in the Bug Tracker
